Firstly my apologies for the lack of a blog yesterday. No, I was not extremely hung over!  With the cancellation of Mandy's Tuesday flight meaning a new flight out of Girona yesterday, we decided a night by the sea Tuesday night would take away the bitter taste left by the French air traffic controllers. A quick search and booking online found us heading to Tossa de Mar. What a wonderful find it was. A more picturesque town I couldn't have wished for. Too many nice things to say about it here, suffice to say it's on the bucket list for a longer return soon.

Spring is here, with the clocks going forward on Sunday morning, and it's a beautiful spring day today. With the temperatures still managing to stay below freezing point during the day the condition of the snow is still extremely good. Normally at this time of year we're starting to get the cycle of harder frozen icy snow in the mornings, good skiing from 11am to 2pm and softer slushy conditions later in the day. We'll have to make the most of the last 18 days of the season.

A bit of a weather concern for the Freestyle Snowboarding competition in the Snow Park this weekend. If you want to see the world's best in action today's practice might be your best chance as the weather is not looking so good for tomorrow and over the weekend! (Warmer with wet/sleety snow).

Plenty in today's news, more 'contraband' tobacco seizures, drugs busts including a big ring of 18 just over the border, arrests for possession in Soldeu and El Tarter after random police stops (good to see) and water conservation is on the agenda with the government minister saying they are looking to reduce the consumption per person from 220 litres per day to 150 litres.

Run of the day - L'Avi, the grandfather - especially for Kelvin and Sue recently being made grandparents for the first time. Congratulations to Ben and Katie. I must congratulate Selena too at this point for popping out another grandson for Pam and Ken. Skiers or borders? We'll have to wait and see!
