Learn about and meet with the team at Pollinate Energy, an award-winning international social enterprise; Head out into a Kolkata slum with one of our entrepreneurs and see how they’re bringing light to India’s urban poor; Enjoy chai and conversation with a local family living in a tent slum; Watch the slum community light up around you as the sun sets and families come home for dinner Have lunch at a local restaurant with the Pollinate Energy team; All net proceeds from this tour will go directly to Pollinate Energy.
Inclusion
Local English-speaking guide; Local transport between meeting and end points; Lunch; Chai with a local family in a slum (the family that hosts you receives a payment for their time).
Exclusion
Hotel pick-up and drop-off; Solar light (you may choose to buy one from your Pollinator to take home as a reminder of your adventure); Items of a personal nature; Gratuities.

Available: Monday -through Thursday departing at 4:30pm.

Approximately 4-5 hours.

Tour departs from Kolkata Hive, CE - 178, CE Block Salt lake (Sector 1), near tank no. 4; Tour ends at Howrah Bridge.
Additional Information
Please dress conservatively and with respect for the community. This means long pants and t-shirt/sleeves for men (i.e., no singlets), long pants or skirt and covered shoulders for women (i.e., no low tops or bare shoulders), and shorts and a t-shirt for kids. We recommend longer sleeves/pants to protect against mosquitoes. Please bring insect repellent as well.

Children below the age of 6 are not permitted on this tour.

Cancellation: 2 days prior 100% penalty. No show 100% penalty.

3. Refine
Your own dedicated specialist travel advisor will help to carefully create your tailor made holiday and send you a detailed itinerary via email for you to look through and refine until you are 100% satisfied.
4. Confirming your holiday
Once your holiday itinerary has been agreed we will ask you to pay the relevant deposit, if applicable, or full payment if your holiday is departing within 14 weeks of booking. You will then receive your full confirmation, payment receipt and ATOL certificate via email within 24 hours of booking.
